Technology has revolutionised how we live today. From social networks to augmented reality, self-driving cars to wearable technology � all of these are made possible through Computer Science.
During the first year of this course, you will gain a solid foundation in the art of programming. This is more than learning a specific language � it is a new way of thinking that requires a creative and precise approach to problem solving.
How will it be delivered?
At the end of the second year, you will be assessed by a 2 hour 30 minute onscreen exam worth 40%, a 2 hour 30 minute written exam worth 40% and a practical coursework project worth 20%.
You will need at least GCSE Maths grade B/6.

Many students continue to university to study Computer Science, Software Engineering or more specialist fields such artificial intelligence, robotics or games development.
