What will you be working towards?

The A Level Dance course is a vibrant mix of dance technique, performance, choreography, body conditioning and analysis skills. All of which are packaged up into practical and theoretical classes which will allow you to immerse yourself in world of dance, allowing students to express themselves in the differing aspects of dance training. Whether you are interested in being a performer, a choreographer, a teacher or even all three, this course will prepare you for any and every pathway. The academic strand to the course allows students to sharpen their analytical skill in preparation for a degree pathway in dance or indeed in any other subject area.
As well as some now working professionally for dance companies; including Hofesh Shechter, Matthew Bourne and Akram Khan.
How will it be delivered?
Assessment is based on practical coursework, performances and written examinations
You will need at least GCSE English Language grade B/6.

This course can lead on to full-time professional dance training at the London School of Contemporary Dance, the Laban Centre, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and a range of universities.
