Overview

This 11 week course is ideal for the DIY enthusiast, homeowner or for those that are thinking about a change of career and want to try out Bricklaying and see if it could be for them. For 2 hours each week you will learn the basic skills needed for: Mixing Mortar, Basic Brickwork/Blockwork including straight walls, corners and types of finishes and pointing, Health & Safety considerations. The course is practical and takes place in our state of the art workshops with our expert tutors. We have one of the largest construction departments in the South East of England so you know you'll be learning from the best. You will also be required to provide safety boots/shoes and overalls. Continuous informal assessment throughout the sessions and where appropriate through the use of Individual Learning Plans as specified by RARPA.
