Overview
This course will help you to improve your skills in domestic and commercial repairs and prepapre you for employment in the industry.
How will it be delivered?
Assessments will take place throughout the duration of the course. Practical tasks will make up 60% of the assessment, coursework will make up 30% and 10% will be made up of exams. Accuracy and completing tasks within a specified time frame will be important to the successful completion of the course. Constructive feedback from your tutor will also help you to improve and progress towards recognised industrial standards.
Entry requirements
2 GCSEs grade D/3 in English and maths, and successful completion of a Level 1 Diploma in one of our Construction craft qualifications.
Your next steps...
On completion of the course you can progress onto more advanced study in Carpentry or Plumbing, or start an apprenticeship in a construction subject.
With some additional training you can then start your career in the industry as a building maintenance operative, become self-employed or go into property development
