What will you be working towards?
||GCE A/AS Level or Equivalent
During this two-year course you will be able to sharpen your skills in mathematics and take your powers of logic, analysis and problem-solving to the next level. You will study pure mathematics content covering topics in algebra, trigonometry, co-ordinate geometry and calculus. You will develop your ability to spot patterns and structure in mathematics, while learning about mathematical modelling and the applications of mathematics in mechanics and statistics. The skills you will develop are in great demand and are central to technology, engineering, medicine and many aspects of everyday life.
How will it be delivered?
At the end of the year two for the A level Maths qualification you will take 3 papers, two with pure content and one with applied content, two hours being allocated for each paper.
You will need at least GCSE Maths grade B/6 and English Language or Literature grade C/4.
