This exciting, performance-centred course is the vocational equivalent of three A levels.
Whilst on this course you will explore many opportunities for progression and there are an exciting variety of workshops and trips, including London and New York. You may choose one of the following pathways to study as your major subject. Alongside your major classes you will explore your performance skills in a related discipline (Pathway options: Acting, Dance or Musical Theatre).
This exciting new UAL course has been written by the University of the Arts, London (UAL) ensuring that it is academically and vocationally challenging and preparing students for continued study at HE or conservatoires.
How will it be delivered?
Assessment is primarily through observation and presentation of practical performance projects supported by written coursework, group critique and individual tutorial. You will also take part in a controlled externally set assessments. Students are encouraged to assess themselves enthusiastically and honestly, and to critique their practical projects positively.
You must achieve at least five GCSEs grade A*/9 - C/4 in four different subjects, including English Language and/or maths, or an equivalent Level 2 vocational qualification.

This course acts as a foundation for progression onto a second year Diploma and as the first major step towards a career or further training in the performing arts related industries.
