· Leadership and Teamwork

· Understanding Discipline

· Outdoor and Adventurous activities

· Fitness testing and training

· Government policies

· Communication and Technology

How will I learn?

Learning will take place through classroom teaching, practical sessions as well as the use of flipped teaching. The lessons are based on class and group discussions, activities, peer teaching, independent learning as well as trips to various public service organisations and guest speakers.

How will it be delivered?

The assessments are assignment based so there is no final written exam.

The assignments come in many forms, including written work, project work, presentations, group work, and practical-based assessments. It is demanding and you will need to be organised and be able to work independently from time to time. Throughout the course you will collect evidence of your competence in each unit. The work completed in each unit is graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction.

These all combine at the end of the course to give you your overall grade.

Entry requirements

Students will need to have at least a C grade in both English and Mathematics and a total of 5 A* to C grades.
