Overview
If you are interested in a career as an electrician then this is the entry level course for you.
This course provides a solid introduction to the world of electrical installation and will prepare you for Level 2 progression or a possible apprenticeship.
You will learn how to describe different types of cables and accessories, explaining containment systems (trunking, tray, conduit etc), define working environments (domestic, commercial, industrial), analyse fundamental electrical theory and the importance of health and safety.
Our £9 million Construction and Trades Centre, provides outstanding facilities for our students. The workshops are designed to simulate industry conditions and are equipped with industry-standard tools and materials. Expert lecturers with years of experience prepare our students to become the next generation of construction workers, tradespeople and motor vehicle technicians.

Entry requirements
To start at Level 1 you should have at least 2 GCSEs at grade 2 (F) or above, preferably including English and maths.
