Overview
This course provides an introduction to aircraft maintenance engineering that will prepare school leavers for entry into an aircraft apprenticeship scheme or continue their training onto the Level 3 Diploma. This course combines theory and practical tasks in the College’s aircraft hangar.
Surrounded by a busy, working airport and numerous engineering and parts companies, the Shoreham Airport Campus provides a real-world environment in which to study. Our students gain a truly unique learning experience with; Motorsport, Aero and Motor Vehicle students working in hangars, workshops and high-tech classrooms equipped with the very latest tools, machinery and software.
The tutors and technicians are all industry-experienced, giving them the insight and knowledge needed to prepare you for a career in an aviation related field, further study or an apprenticeship.
The College owns five aircraft, as well as many examples of engines and components, and students enjoy a unique learning experience at a working airport location.
