If you would like a career as a professional make-up artist for stage or screen, this makeup qualification will give you the knowledge and skills to get you started. With opportunities to express your creative ideas, Level 3 focuses on specialist make-up. You will also learn about client consultation, team working, problem solving and research skills.

Entry requirements

To join this course, you must have successfully completed the Level 2 course in Make-Up & Hair Artistry.

In addition to the specified entry requirements, you may be required to undergo an assessment of your English skills to ensure you are at a sufficient level for your chosen course.

Further study

You may choose to develop your knowledge and skills further by completing a specialist qualification in hair, beauty or theatrical make-up. With a good portfolio or an additional year at Level 3 studying art and design, you could progress to university level courses such as the degree in Theatrical Make-Up at Northbrook MET.
