If you would like a career as a make-up artist, this course will give you the knowledge and skills to get you started. With opportunities to express your creative ideas, Level 2 includes both make-up and hair work. You will also learn about client consultation, team working, problem solving and research skills.
Our commercial salon, based at Broadwater Campus, is the perfect learning environment for our students. Popular with local customers, the salon is run as a professional business, which allows our students to gain real-life work experience that is so valued by future employers. Students on the Make-up and Hair Artistry course benefit from a dedicated workshop/salon area for their studies.
Our expert tutors have years of professional experience and inspire our students to reach their potential and prepare them for employment. The MET has excellent links with the industry and you will take advantage of this through guest lectures/visits.

You can start at Level 2 if you have at least 3 GCSEs at grade 3 (D/E) or above, including English, maths and science.
In addition to the specified entry requirements, you may be required to undergo an assessment of your English skills to ensure you are at a sufficient level for your chosen course.
Start on the Level 1 introduction course if you do not have the above grades.
